Purveyors of music videos and shorts often transfer neatly into the commercial world, but few kick off their ad career with as assured and stylish a step as Sanjay De Silva's debut for Flybuys.
Circling through a series of proud shoppers whilst they boast of their savvy sense, Give a Flybuys uses a cracking tune by El Plasticos, smart copywriting by the team at CHE Proximity and Division director De Silva's assured hand to create a campaign (a two-and-a-half minute hero film with individual cutdowns) that is at once familiar, fun and engaging.
Managing the seemingly impossible task of making talk of retail rewards somehow cool, this audacious introduction to De Silva's commercial talents is as much an advert for the talent as it is for the product.
